National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

SAMHC is a proud member of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. a free, 24-hour hotline
(1-800-273-TALK) available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Calls are routed to the nearest crisis center and SAMHC responds to calls from the 520 area code. Recently SAMHC was awarded a federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to provide follow-up calls to suicidal callers to re-assess suicidality, provide further support, and encourage/facilitate entry into behavioral health services. With help comes hope!
