Facilitation of Emergency Involuntary Hospitalization

If an individual demonstrates imminent dangerousness, either to oneself (DTS) or others (DTO) and is unwilling to agree to admission to a psychiatric hospital or other appropriate treatment setting, an Application for Emergency Admission for Evaluation (otherwise known as an Emergency Petition) may be initiated. In collaboration with law enforcement, a SAMHC MAC Team is available to coordinate the transportation of the individual to a hospital emergency room for further evaluation.
