SAMHC is a not-for-profit agency that provides mental health services to persons in crisis throughout Pima County. Services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to those in need and  regardless of age, diagnosis, or enrollment status with the Regional Behavioral Health Authority.  There is no fee for crisis care.

z Commitment:  SAMHC employees take pride in providing quality care, in maintaining the agency’s gains,  and in securing the agency’s presence as the premier provider of crisis care in the Southwest.  To that end, all staff members express a commitment to:

  • Provide an accepting environment for persons in need of behavioral health services by treating every person providing or receiving services at SAMHC with dignity, compassion, and respect.

  • Take pride in our ability to be creative in our approach to address an individual’s specific strengths and needs,  to be non-judgmental,  and to be dedicated to service.

  • Provide community services that focus on individual needs and that are family oriented, solution focused, time efficient, cost effective, and that carry a commitment to promote cultural and ethnic diversity.

  • Seek collaborative relationships with other providers, community groups, and agencies to address gaps in the behavioral health network and ensure that needed resources are available for persons in crisis whom we serve.

  • Serve as advocates and accept a leadership role to improve behavioral health services in our community.

If you are in a position to support us in our mission to provide quality mental health care to our community, we would welcome your tax-deductible donation.
